Is Omnisend Worth It? Plans, Pricing and Who It's For (2026)
What Omnisend includes on each plan, what it costs as your list grows, how SMS is billed, and when another tool is the better choice.

Verdict: For most small and mid-size Shopify stores, yes. Omnisend covers the automations that drive store revenue, puts email, SMS and web push in one place, includes 24/7 support on every plan, and costs less than Klaviyo at the list sizes we could verify. Look elsewhere if you need the deepest possible segmentation and reporting, or if you only send a few campaigns a month.

What it does well
- E-commerce automations on every plan. Welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment and post-purchase flows, with segmentation and sign-up forms. Omnisend states that the free plan includes all the features of the paid plans.
- Three channels, one builder. Email, SMS and web push can be combined in the same workflow.
- Support. 24/7 live chat and email on every plan, including free – unusual at this price.
- Merchant ratings. 4.7/5 from 3,193 reviews on the Shopify App Store, with about 89% five-star.
Where it falls short
- Less depth than Klaviyo for brands that want highly granular segmentation and reporting.
- SMS adds cost on Standard – it’s pay-as-you-go (US rates from $0.009 per message, falling to $0.007 at high volume).
- Branding on the free plan.
- About 5% of App Store ratings are one-star, so read recent reviews for issues relevant to your store.
What it costs as you grow
| Contacts | Omnisend Standard | Klaviyo Email |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $20/month | $30/month |
| 5,000 | $81/month | $100/month |
| 10,000 | $132/month | $150/month |

Who should use Omnisend
Good fit: Shopify and other online stores with up to tens of thousands of subscribers who want proven e-commerce flows, SMS without a separate plan, and fast support.
Consider something else if:
- You’re brand new and only sending occasional newsletters – Shopify’s own email app is cheaper to start.
- You’re a large brand with a data team and agency – Klaviyo’s depth may justify the price. See Omnisend vs Klaviyo.
